London, April 24 : Rumours are abuzz that Prince William and his fiancee Kate Middleton will spend their honeymoon at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

Lizard Island, a national park, tipped as the most likely destination, is the jewel in the crown of a breathtaking chain of islands in the Coral Sea off the coast of Queensland, reports the Mirror.

Prince William himself hinted at the possibility when he spoke to well-wishers during a brief visit to Cairns last month.

“I’ve always wanted to dive the Great Barrier Reef,” he said.

“I will have to come back – maybe we’ll have a ­honeymoon in Cairns,” he added. (ANI)
