Mumbai, Feb 4 : "Oh My God!" fame director Umesh Shukla says he is scripting a film for Sonakshi Sinha and her brother Luv.

Shukla told IANS: "They have approached me for a film, but I will not make a film unless I have a convincing script. Right now, it's in a very initial stage and I am scripting a film for Sonakshi and Luv."

New Delhi, Jan 24 : Sonakshi Sinha has been dropped out from filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala's upcoming movie `Kick' due to her alleged price hike.

According to a leading daily, Nadiadwala, who had signed on Sinha as female lead opposite Salman Khan following the success of Dabangg, Son of Sardar and Dabangg 2, had already paid her the signing amount before the 25-year-old actress demanded a paycheck hike.

New Delhi, Jan 4 : Sonakshi Sinha will adapt the 1980s' disco style of dance for "Thank god it's Friday", a special song in "Himmatwala" remake.

The song, to be choreographed by Chinni Prakash, will have almost 100 dancers and 400 extras, said a source.

"It is a retro disco number which will have reflective dance floors, mirrors and everything shiny and glamorous," the source added.

And Manish Malhotra has designed Sonakshi's dress for the song.

Mumbai, Dec 20 : Sonakshi Sinha has confirmed that she is playing female lead in the Hindi remake of Tamil hit "Thuppakki". She started shooting for the project Thursday.

"Because I only talk about a film AFTER I've signed it, it's my pleasure to share with you all that we started shooting the 'Thuppakki' remake today. Looking forward to working with this team," Sonakshi tweeted Thursday.

Mumbai, Dec 19 : Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who was into fashion designing before she stepped into filmdom, doesn't mind voicing her opinion to designers, who work on her look for movies.

"We work with such established and trusted people from the industry, so my opinion is not required much. But sometimes, if I don't approve or so, I do voice my opinion. In fact for 'Dabangg 2', I have retained my nose ring," Sonakshi told IANS.

Mumbai, Dec 17 : Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has earned rave reviews for her performance in her films, says mother Poonam Sinha is her biggest critic.

"My mum is my biggest critic and I take her opinion very seriously because I know that is one person, who is saying it only for my good and nobody else," Sonakshi told reporters in a group interview.

New Delhi, Dec 8 : Sonakshi Sinha is said to have bagged her third film opposite Akshay Kumar and replaced Parineeti Chopra in the remake of the South film `Thuppakki'.

The `Dabangg' girl, who had boycotted all the promotions of `Joker' alongside Akshay, has been cast opposite him for the third time.

Director A. R. Murugadoss decided to make a remake of the Tamil movie after Kumar was impressed hearing the storyline. (ANI)

Mumbai, Dec 1 : After back-to-back hits with "Dabangg" and "Rowdy Rathore", actress Sonakshi Sinha's third film "Joker" failed to set the cash registers ringing but the actress has no regrets.

"I don't regret doing 'Joker'. I signed 'Joker' after the success of 'Dabangg' so it was my second film. For a newcomer like me to get an opportunity to work with Akshay Kumar was like an icing on the cake," Sonakshi told IANS.

Mumbai, Nov 30 : Actress Sonakshi Sinha is expecting "Dabangg 2" to hit the bull's eye at the box office.

"We have a lot of hopes from 'Dabangg 2'. The promos and songs of the film have garnered positive response so far and we are expecting a lot from this film," Sonakshi told IANS.

New Delhi, Nov 26 : Sonakshi Sinha will be seen with her mother Poonam Sinha on screen for the first time in an ad campaign to promote a new beauty product. She says her mom is her skin advisor.

The mother-daughter duo will be seen together in a TV commercial for a range of facial bleaches under the brand Fem.

Mumbai, Nov 26 : She made her Bollywood debut with the blockbuster "Dabangg" in 2010, and now actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is also a part of "Dabangg 2", says she is upbeat about being a part of the franchise.

"I am very excited. When a film gets a good response, it feels good. I started with 'Dabangg' and now doing 'Dabangg 2' is very exciting for me," the 25-year-old said on the sidelines of an event here Sunday.

Mumbai, Nov 24 : After matching tough dance steps with ace choreographer Prabhudheva in "Oh My God!", actress Sonakshi Sinha recently challenged herself with some Kathakali steps on the set of "Dabangg 2".

The 25-year-old tried some steps of the classical dance form while shooting for the song "Dagabaaz re" from the movie.

Mumbai, Nov 16 : Being a star kid has its own perks. Actress Sonakshi Sinha says she always turns to her parents - Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha - for advice when it comes to her career decisions.

"I always take guidance from my parents. It's a combined decision. They have been in the industry for 30 to 35 years, which is not a joke," Sonakshi told IANS.

New Delhi, Nov 12 : Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is likely to be roped in to lend her voice to the Hindi version of Hollywood animation film "Rise of the Guardians".

DreamWorks Animation's "Rise of the Guardians" will release in India around Christmas. It is set in the backdrop of five guardian angels coming together to save the world.

"Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2" shoot started today! cannot wait to join my team shortly and start work on this film... positivity all around! am loving it," Sonakshi tweeted Wednesday.
