Mumbai, March 25 : The story of Sanjay Dutt's life is likely to go on the screen and, if all goes well, director Rajkumar Hirani and actor Ranbir Kapoor would come together for the first time to tell the highs and lows in the 54-year-old star's life.
The decision was reportedly taken around a week before Sanjay returned to Pune's Yerawada Jail after his parole period ran out.
Pune/Mumbai, Dec. 21 - Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is on his way to Mumbai after leaving Pune's Yerawada Jail. He left the prison at 10 a. m.
Dutt has been granted parole for a month after he filed an application citing his wife Maanyata's illness.
Maanyata, however, was seen at two separate events at the same time and the news of Sanjay Dutt being granted yet another parole stirred controversy and invited protests from activists.
Pune, Dec 21 - Incarcerated Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was released on a month's parole here to look after his ailing wife Manyata, official sources said Saturday.
Dutt, 54, stepped out of the Yerawada Central Jail here and left for Mumbai.
He sought parole early this month from the Pune divisional commissioner.
Mumbai, Dec 7 : Incarcerated Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's wife Manyata is suffering from a heart and liver ailment and her current health condition is a matter of concern, her doctor said here Saturday.
"She has complained of chest pain and sudden weight loss. During tests we detected a large tumour growth on her liver," her cardiologist Ajay Chaughule told IANS.
Mumbai, Dec. 7 - Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is currently lodged in Pune's Yerawada Jail for his role in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, has been granted a month's parole to spend time with his ill wife Maanayata.
Yogesh Desai, the Jail Superintendent of Yerawada Jail, said Dutt had submitted an application for the present parole along with his request for a medical furlough in October.
Pune, Oct 1 - Bollywood's incarcerated actor Sanjay Dutt was granted a two-week parole by Pune's Yerawada Central Jail authorities for medical reasons, official sources confirmed here Tuesday.
Dutt had sought a month's parole in mid-August to get medical treatment for certain illnesses that he has been suffering from.
Mumbai, July 5 : The first look of director Apoorva Lakhia's "Zanjeer" remake has been launched and the director says he is missing jailed actor Sanjay Dutt, who is essaying the role that was played by veteran actor Pran in the 1973 film.
Sanjay is currently serving his three-and-a-half-year jail term in the 1993 Mumbai blast case.

Mumbai, May 28 : Producer Rahul Aggarwal says he is missing actor Sanjay Dutt's presence during the promotions of his forthcoming film "Policegiri", in which the actor plays the lead role.
The movie, co-produced by Rahul along with his father T. P. Aggarwal, will be Sanjay's first release after his surrender in the 1993 Mumbai blast case. He surrendered May 22 and is currently in Yerawada Central Jail, Pune.
Mumbai, May 18 : Actor Arshad Warsi, who played Circuit in the "Munna Bhai" films with Sanjay Dutt essaying the lead role, says he won't do any new film in the popular franchise without the real "Munna Bhai".
He says neither can he, nor will audiences be able to see anybody else in the role instead of Sanjay, who is currently in jail serving his sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Mumbai, March 5 : Sanjay Dutt has fallen in love with his character of real-life unconventional cop Pritam Singh in "Zilla Ghaziabad". He will now produce a film in which he will again play the notorious real-life cop from Ghaziabad.
The film entitled "Pritam" has been written by the "Zilla Ghaziabad" writer Vinay Sharma.

Mumbai, Feb 2 : A hunt for an item girl is on for Sanjay Dutt-starrer "Policegiri", a remake of Tamil hit "Saamy".
"We will soon shoot for an item number for this film. We are in search of an item girl, and once we finalise, we will make an official announcement," T. P. Aggarwal, the film's producer, told IANS.
"We will be shooting for the item song in Mumbai or Wai in March," he added,
Most of the film's shooting is done.
Lucknow, Nov 2 : The Uttar Pradesh government Friday decided to withdraw cases slapped by the previous Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) regime against Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, who had allegedly made comments against former chief minister Mayawati.
The decision was taken by the home department following a recommendation by the Law department on the matter, said an official.

Mumbai, March 9 - Filmmaker Samir Karnik, known for his family dramas like "Heroes", "Yamla Pagla Deewana" and just released "Chaar Din Ki Chandni", is now set to direct "Dus 2" and says he can't make the action thriller without Sanjay Dutt.
"The star cast will be repeated as that of the old version. I can't make 'Dus' without Sanjay Dutt," Karnik told IANS.
