After visiting Siddhivinayak Temple and his mother Nargis Dutt's grave, Munnabhai met the press, where he said his father Sunil Dutt's only fight was to see his son free.
Pune, Feb 25 - There's no easy road to freedom, said Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt upon his exit from the Yerwada Central Jail (YCJ) here on Thursday after serving a 42-month prison-term for illegal possession of arms during the March
1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
Before boarding a chartered flight to Mumbai, Sanjay, who was welcomed by a surge of fans here, told the media: "There is no easy road to freedom."
The "Kaante" star also credited his fans and well-wishers for their unending support.
He said: "I am here because of their (fans') support."
Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt's sister Priya says it is an emotional day for the family and revealed that they have planned a special welcome for the actor, who has been released from Yerawada prison and is on his way home.
She also wished that her father late Sunil Dutt was alive to witness this day. "There are no such plans (of celebration). My husband has decorated the building gate and has put up a poster welcoming him home. My kids have made card for him. We will just sit and chat," Priya told PTI.

Arrested in 1993, Dutt had already served 18 months as an undertrial and then returned to jail in May 2013 to serve the remainder of his sentence.

The security outside the Yerawada jail has been tightened in view of Dutt's release.
Meanwhile, a PIL has also been filed in Bombay High Court by social activist Pradeep Bhalekar, seeking a stay on early release of the 56-year-old actor.

The actor will complete his jail-term on February 25 but the delay has been caused as he overextended his parole by two days.
