National Awards: Big B 'touched' by president's speech

New Delhi, May 4 : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who whas been honoured with the Best Actor Award at the 63rd National Film Awards, says he was humbled and touched as President Pranab Mukherjee mentioned him in his speech.

The 73-year-old, who looked dapper in a black suit, was in Vigyan Bhavan here on Tuesday to receive the award instituted by the government of India for his portrayal a Bengali father in "Piku".

The 73-year-old actor took to his Twitter handle to share the poster of the Sujoy Ghosh produced, Ribhu Dasgupta directed movie.

"The first release poster of 'TE3N" ... enjoy ," he wrote alongside.

The poster shows Nawazuddin Siddiqui sitting behind the 'Wazir' actor on a scooter. According to the poster, it seems like the two are trying to find something out.

Mumbai, April 30 : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, whose 1982 film "Namak Halal" opposite Smita Patil completed 34 years on Saturday, has shared memories of his time with the late actress during the shooting of the film.

The actor took to his blog, posting a few images of him and the late actress taken during the shoot and shared that Smita was "so uncomfortable during the shooting of the entire film".

New Delhi, April 29 : The first look of Ribhu Dasgupta's upcoming thriller 'TE3N,' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan, is finally out.

In the first still from the film, Big-B is seen in discussion with the 'Kahaani' actress, who is dressed in jeans and kurta.

In the other two posters, the 73-year-old actor is seen riding a scooter and the 'Manjhi' actor is seen riding a motor cycle with a grim expression.

The 73-year-old actor shared a photograph, where his co-actors including actress Taapsee Pannu, are seen making funny faces at the camera, while Big B is seen reading something.

"And then you get photobombed by your colleagues! 'PINK' on set," Amitabh tweeted on Wednesday.

New Delhi, April 26 : Finally the Sujoy Ghosh's 'TE3N' gets its release date and its June 10, this year.

The 'Kahaani' director retweeted a post by 'Complete Cinema' which said, "Ribhu Dasgupta's #TE3N *ring @SrBachchan @Nawazuddin_S & @vidya_balan will release on 10th June'16. @sujoy_g #Bollywood #Films #Cinema."

Along with retweeting it, he wrote, "showtime!"

The film, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, with Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan in the lead was earlier slated to release on May 20.

Mumbai, April 9 : Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has responded to the allegations that he has used his star power to evade tax, saying that he is a "law abiding citizen".

On Friday, a news report shared the 73-year-old actor's "brush with the Income Tax Department right from 2009 and how his loans were paid off using offshore entities".

In reaction to this, Amitabh said in a statement that the matter referred to in the article "is a matter that has been under investigation for the past six to seven years by the Income Tax and Enforcement Departments".

Mumbai: With actor Amitabh Bachchan's name figuring in the Panama Papers leaks, the Opposition Congress in Maharashtra sought his ouster as state's ambassador for the `Save Tiger Project' even as a BJP MLA objected to the `vilification campaign' against the Bollywood megastar.

Till Bachchan gets a clean chit in the Panama Papers case, he should be removed as tiger brand ambassador as well as from advisory panel on the development of part of the Bandra Kurla Complex as International Finance and Services Centre, said Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Leader of Opposition.
