Big-B is followed by the Badshah of Bollywood with 20.8 million Twitter followers.

Mumbai, Aug 16 : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday condoled the death of Pramukh Swami, the spiritual leader of the Swaminarayan sect.
The 73-year-old actor on Tuesday took to Twitter to pay his condolences to the 95-year-old godman.
"HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj a spiritual leader humanitarian, condolences on his passing...a generous simple human, his aura remains," Amitabh tweeted.
The godman had been unwell for over the last three years. He died on Saturday evening, at Botad in Saurashtra, where he was stationed.
Mumbai: Their first collaboration "Shoebite" never made it to the screen but filmmaker Shoojit Sircar says he considers "Piku" and upcoming thriller "Pink" as his "repay" to megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
"Piku," starring Bachchan as a hypochondriac father with Deepika Padukone, was a box office success, while "Pink," which is produced by Sircar, will see the 73-year-old actor in the role of a lawyer.
"That shoe is still biting," Bachchan said when asked about their unreleased film at the trailer launch of "Pink".

Mumbai: Remembering his 1981 romantic-drama 'Silsila' as it completes 35 years today, megastar Amitabh Bachchan says critics panned the movie when it was released but now it's revered as a classic.
'Silsila', directed by Yash Chopra, also starred Bachchan's wife Jaya and Rekha, whose on-screen chemistry with the 'Piku' star stands as one of Bollywood's best ever.
"35 years of 'Silsila'... A film that was trashed by media as 'silly sila'... Today referred to as a classic (sic)," Bachchan wrote on his Twitter page.
Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is surviving only on 25 per cent of his liver as the rest has been damaged by the deadly Hepatitis B virus, today called for higher budget spend to prevent the fatal disease.
"Hepatitis B hit me accidentally. After the accident on the sets of 'Coolie' (1983), I was infused with the blood of about 200 donors and 60 bottles of blood were injected into my system," Bachchan told an event on the World Hepatitis Day here on Thursday evening.

A terrorist sped a rented truck through a crowd of thousands enjoying Bastille Day celebrations on Thursday night in Promenade des Anglais in Nice, crushing 84 people and injuring some 150.
Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to the Hindi translation of American filmmaker Steven Spielberg's "The Big Friendly Giant" and the megastar is all praise for the film.

Kolkata, June 8 : Having worked both in celluloid and digital medium, megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday advocated preserving films for posterity by digitising them.
"We have forgotten and lost the word 'film'. There is no film, no celluloid. That's a huge change. Film was a very expensive commodity in my time so if there were retakes it was a huge pressure for us as well as for the producers.
"Now with digital, there is the freedom to take long shots. It gives you the liberty to shoot for several minutes at a time," Bachchan told media here when asked on the changes in cinema.

New Delhi, June 4 : It is no secret that Amitabh Bachchan believes in testing his limits with every new project and now, the Bollywood's Shehanshah is going to add a "villainy" feather to his hat with 'Aankhen 2'.
According to a leading daily, the 73-year-old actor will once again team up with director Aditya Chopra for the sequel to Aankhen (2002), but this time with a twist as he will be the bad guy.

Mumbai, June 3 : Director Ribhu Dasgupta's forthcoming thriller "TE3N" has been granted a U/A certificate without any cuts.
"'TE3N' gets a U/A with no cuts from the censor. But the board was so cool... Great group of people," the film's producer, Sujoy Ghosh, tweeted on Thursday night.
The film, which is set in Kolkata, features megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Releasing on June 10, "TE3N" will also see a special appearance by actress Vidya Balan as an investigative officer. IANS
