Mumbai, July 21 : Singer-actress Sophie Choudry feels honoured to be the new ambassador of the British Asian Trust.
Sophie, who was here on Wednesday to attend ace designer Manish Malhotra's show at FDCI India Couture Week 2016, shared her excitement on Twitter.
"I'm so honoured to share that I'm the new ambassador of British Asian Trust. A wonderful charity trust started by HRH Prince Charles," Sophie tweeted on Thursday.
Mumbai: Actress Sonakshi Sinha says injustice faced by women has been ignored for long now and it's time they raise their voice against it.
"We are used to keeping mum about injustice, be it in the office or public transport. We ignore the injustice faced by women," she said.
"If you won't speak up today, you will never be able speak. You are stronger than you think you are. It is time to speak up," Sonakshi said in a statement.
Mumbai, July 21 : The Mumbai Police on Thursday filed a chargesheet against Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh for abetting her suicide.
As per reports, the chargesheet of around 1,000 pages has been slapped against Rahul on charges of abetment, assault and intimidation.
A case was earlier registered at the Bangur Nagar Police Station under Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506
(criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Mumbai, July 21 : Actor Arshad Warsi, known for his comic timing, says he chose to stay away from adult comedies as he doesn't like "porn kind of comedy".
Is it a conscious decision to stay away from adult comedies?
"Yes, absolutely. I consciously stay away from adult comedies. I do not like double meaning, 'x' rated, porn kind of comedy. I have nothing against people who do it," Arshad, who has featured in comedy films like "Dhamaal" and "Golmaal", told IANS.
Mumbai: Actor Sikander Kher, who will be seen in season two of popular TV show "24" starring industry veteran Anil Kapoor, was initially skeptical to take up the project.
"When I was offered the show initially I was not sure. But when I heard the role I just liked it. It is a great role," Sikander told PTI.
Sikander, who plays a negative role in "24", is the new addition on the season two of fast paced action series.
New Delhi, July 21 : Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who was last seen in the 2015 film 'Hero', is in talks to star in Farhan Akhtar's next production film.
The Deccan Chronicle quoted Sooraj, as saying, "Yes, the talks are going on but I haven't signed the film yet. If everything goes well then I will do the film, depending on the dates that Remo will give me."
He added, "I haven't got the narration yet. Please ask Ritesh Sidhwani for any other details."

Chennai, July 21 : Telugu star Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy, who have been married for five years, are expecting their second child. The couple already have a son named Ayaan.
"Happy to share that my family is growing a little bigger. Another baby arriving soon," Arjun wrote on his Twitter page.
According to a family source, the delivery is due in November.
Sneha was spotted with a baby bump last week when she accompanied Arjun during Haritha Haram event.

Mumbai, July 21 : Veteran actor Anupam Kher has remembered late Hollywood filmmaker Garry Marshall and said he had the "privilege" to meet him.
Anupam shared a photograph of himself with "The Princess Diaries" director, who died on Tuesday.
"Had the privilege of meeting director Garry Marshall in LA. He spread happiness like his movies did. Will miss him," Anupam tweeted on Thursday.

Chennai, July 21 : The two-minute introduction scene of Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil action-drama "Kabali", which is slated for worldwide release on Friday, has leaked online.
According to a source, the leak might have happened from the Gulf.
"The leaked clip features Arabic subtitles too. Hence, it must have originated from the Gulf. The team is trying to find the source of the leak," a source told IANS.

"We are very proud of the music of "Befikre". We just can't wait for it (music) to come out. We have huge respect for Aditya Chopra. He creates amazing love stories on screen and it's a big thing to give music to his films.
"It's an honor to be working with him. He is a peace-loving man," Shekhar told PTI.
Chennai, July 20 : Actor Dhanush, who has so far crooned Tamil hit numbers such as "Why This Kolaveri", "Maari Thara Local" and "Oh Oh", has now recorded a Telugu song in upcoming Telugu entertainer "Thikka".
"Dhanush has crooned the title track of the film. This is the first time he has sung in composer Thaman's music," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
On Tuesday, after the record, Thaman posted a picture with Dhanush on his Twitter page.
Having majorly sung in Tamil, Dhanush has now started crooning in other languages. Last year, he sang a song in Kannada film "Vajrakaya".
Chennai, July 20 : The makers of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer "Kabali", which is slated for release on Friday, have clarified that the film has not leaked online, contrary to some reports.
On Tuesday, reports surfaced online that "Kabali" had leaked even before release.
"These are just baseless rumours circulated for fun. There's no truth in reports that 'Kabali' has leaked online. Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu plans to officially address the matter via a statement," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Mumbai, July 20 : Composer duo Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, who have worked on the music of "A Flying Jatt", loved using Punjabi phonetics in the forthcoming film. They are of the opinion that Punjabi songs always sound fresh.
The movie is directed by Remo D'Souza, with whom Sachin-Jigar have earlier worked with for "ABCD" and its sequel. For those movies, they churned out experimental music, but in "A Flying Jatt", they have created "fun filled" tunes which are as commercial "as was required".
