Washington, Nov 11 : Madonna has defended her decision of dating a much younger man, insisting that her 24 year old boyfriend is an excellent male role model for her young sons.

The 53-year-old singer has been dating French dancer Brahim Zaibat for over a year and is confident that he has become a positive father figure to her sons Rocco and David.

“(My sons) need a male role model as well. So I need to keep this in mind: What is this person modelling to my sons?

What kind of man is he? What values does he have? What energy is he giving off?” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Harper''s Bazaar.

Zaibat is just nine years older than Madonna’s eldest child, daughter Lourdes. (ANI)
