Kris Humphries mocks Kanye after scoring $24m deal with Jay-Z''s Nets

Kris Humphries mocks Kanye after scoring $24m deal with Jay-Z''s Nets London, July 18 : Kris Humphries took a dig at his estranged wife Kim kardashian's new boyfriend Kanye West after scoring a deal worth 24 million dollars with Jay-Z's Brooklyn Nets.

The NBA star took to Twitter on Tuesday with a jab at West, who just wrapped up his `Watch the Throne' tour with Nets' part-owner Jay-Z, the Daily Mail reported.

In what appeared to be a reference to Kanye''s hit single Cold, Humphries tweeted, "I'm up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ `lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team' lol!"

The 34-year-old hip hop artist had famously mocked Humphries on his controversial single.

Originally called Theraflu, the rapper rapped on the track released in April: "Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team."

The song also had a thinly-veiled reference to his 31-year-old girlfriend, whom West began dating in March after her doomed 72-day marriage to the basketball star last year.

"And I admit I fell in love with Kim around the same time she fell in love with him," he rhymed.

But Humphries, not to let the remark slide, made sure to use the announcement that he was staying with the Nets as an opportunity to respond to his former love rival - mentioning Jay-Z's Twitter handle "@S_C_" in the process.

According to the New York Daily News, despite the bitter feud over the reality star, Humphries can breathe easy after negotiating a two-year 24-million-dollar deal.

Nets general manager Billy King announced that the team has made an agreement in principle on a contract with the 27-year-old forward.

"Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years," King said.

"He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league, and we are very pleased to welcome him back," he added. (ANI)
