Washington, Mar 3 : Halle Berry has reportedly sacked her longtime lawyer and confidante, Neal Hersh, and hired a new one in his place.

According to sources, the 45-year-old actress wants to up the ante in the legal battle against her child’s father Gabriel Aubry, and she thinks Hersh isn’t up to it, even though he has guided her through two divorces, a custody war and various other legal cases.

Berry has hired Stephen Kolodny, who is “legendary in LA legal circles for the level of legal warfare she so wants,” according to TMZ. com

Kolodny had also represented Mel Gibson in his case against Oksana Grigorieva.

The actress’ new lawyer has already gone to court with the ‘X Men’ star.

The two went to dependency court to have more restrictions placed on Aubry last Thursday.

The judge has already ordered that Berry’s former partner can only have contact with her daughter Nahla in the presence of a monitor.

He voiced additional concerns and ordered Aubry to return the child to Berry earlier than the 6 pm deadline on days he has custody. (ANI)
