London, Nov 3 : Nancy Dell’Olio has launched a war of words with Alesha Dixon after the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge labelled the lawyer’s final performance on the show as “unfeminine”.
The 50-year-old ex-girlfriend of Sven-Goran Erickson, the former manager of England’s football team, hit back at the judge by calling her “vulgar”.
Dell’Olio was widely mocked by the judges for her waltz with her partner, Anton Du Beke, on the Halloween special, in which she wore a revealing white and silver dress and flashed her underwear as she clambered out of a sequined coffin.
“Nancy, I think you are a sexy woman and you know how to work it but I have to be honest – you are a walking disaster,” the Daily Mail quoted Dixon as saying.
“Your legs are so far apart and that’s not very feminine. You both should have stayed in the coffin!” she said.
While speaking on the ‘BBC Breakfast’, Dell’Olio referred to the comments made about her by the only female judge on the panel.
“Some of the comments, especially when something comes from a woman to another woman, she has to think about it,” Dell’Olio said.
“She was not elegant, she was a little bit vulgar. There is a fine line between entertainment and then unnecessary comments,” she added. (ANI)
Dell’Olio has told friends she is prepared to contact lawyers in an effort to get an official apology from Miss Dixon and the BBC. (ANI)
