New Delhi, Dec 30 : Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she took the role in the film ' American Hustle ' because she found out that she was being cast opposite Christian Bale.

According to Universal Pictures India, the 23-year-old actress said that she had to play the role of a manic-depressive alcoholic, and she couldn't wait to play it, besides she also got to make out with Bale.

Lawrence was initially supposed to take a break between films 'Catching Fire' and 'X-Men', till director David O Russell asked her to play the role of Christian Bale's wife. (ANI)
