Jaypee to invest on Ganga Expressway project
The leading infrastructure company of the country, the Jaypee Group of Industries has informed that it will invest Rs. 70,000 crore to build the ambitious 1,047 km long Noida-Ballia Ganga Expressway project. The project is expected to be completed by next five years. The company has also informed that ongoing Yamuna Expressway project is going to be completed in next two years of time.
That means the project will be finished ahead of scheduled time by March 2011. This has been informed by the Group Chairperson Mr. J. P. Gaur. Gaur was addressing to the media.
The Chairman has also said that the company is looking forward to announce the opening of the forthcoming initial public offering (IPO) of Jaypee Infratech Limited. The JP Infratech IPO is expected to rise around Rs. 1,650 crore from the market. All the details have been sent to the Government and the regulators and the IPO is going to be introduced soon.
So far as the Ganga project is concerned, Jaypee Ganga Infrastructure Corp from Jaypee Group firm had signed an agreement with Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority in the year 2008 to construct an eight-lane expressway from Greater Noida to Ballia.
