Japanese jobless rate breaks post-war record
Tokyo - The unemployment in Japan rose 0.3 percentage points in July to hit a post-war high of 5.7 per cent, the government announced Friday.
The official jobless rate surged from 12 months early by 1.03 million workers to 3.59 million.
The government reported that only 42 jobs were open for every 100 people looking for work. (dpa)
