Hydropolis: the underwater Hotel

Hydropolis: the underwater HotelHydropolis is basically a concept hotel that (if materialized) would comprise of 220-suite hotel, off the coast of Dubai, totally submerged in the Persian Gulf.

According to analysts it was a plan that was laid in 2006, delayed till 2008, and today is nothing more than a pile of blueprints. It was basically an idea where the gap between oceans and us could have been erased with its underwater architecture.

Hydropolis as the architects stated was actualized on an architectural design that closely resembles a direct analogy between the physiology of man and the architecture. It is basically shaped as the number eight that lies on its side and inscribed in a circle.

The interior spaces of the same were supposed to have function areas, such as restaurants, bars, meeting rooms and theme suites which gain a close resemblance to the major components such as the nervous and cardiovascular systems.

It further states that the ballroom's location is a like a nerve centre, that has an asymmetrical pathway that connects different storeys along with the ramps. Likewise many such crafting such as the petal-like retractable roof or the flanking catering areas endows this hindered project.
