Green levies cuts to result in £50 a year fall in energy bills

The move will bring much help to the households, who are facing increasing pressure after energy firms increase energy bills in the country. Experts have said that the negotiations will take place between the Big Six energy firms and ministers this week and a price cut might be announced as soon as this Sunday. It is also believed that some energy firms would say that they will freeze all rate hikes until spring 2015 if the wholesale prices remain stable.

Some are concerned over uncertain regulatory environment in the UK. David Cameron has indicated that the country might roll back green taxes. The uncertain signals form the government has created confusion in the industry and firms are waiting for more clarity before making investments. The Prime Minister promised earlier this week that government will cut levies on gas and electricity bills in order to bring down energy prices.
