Meanwhile, The X Factor finalists have vanquished competition from Beyonce, Britney Spears and Leona Lewis to remain atop the UK singles chart.

Their cover of Mariah Carey''s ''Hero'' notches up a second week at number one, forcing Beyonce to settle at second position with ''If I Were A Boy''.
