Daniel Radcliffe to make musical debut

Daniel Radcliffe to make musical debutLondon, October 10 : Daniel Radcliffe is set to make his musical debut, it has emerged.

The Harry Potter star will take part in a reading in New York of the show ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.’ And if it turns out to be a success it will be staged on Broadway.

The plotline of the musical, which Rob Ashford will direct, centres on a window cleaner who follows the advice of a self-help manual to get into the World Wide Wickets Co.

Producers expect viewers can relate to it in the period of recession.

Meanwhile, Radcliffe has said he is up for it.

"When all the guys who''ve been at drama school come out, they''ve been learning dance or singing and all that stuff and I''m going to need to compete with them because I won''t have Harry Potter as my safety net any more,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

“I need to make myself as viable a choice for any part as I possibly can."

The original 1961 Broadway production had grabbed seven Tony awards and was also adapted into a film six years later. (ANI)
