Taiwanese electronics giant, Acer is planning to launch a new affordable quad-core smartphone called, Liquid E2.
The Liquid E2 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels and will be powered by a strong quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz with1GB of RAM. It will also come with MediaTek MT6589 chipset for enhanced performance and will be only 9.9mm thick and weighs 140 grams including the battery.

Taiwanese computing giant, Acer might be planning to launch its new Iconia A1-810 tablet computer, according to reports citing allegedly leaked images of the tablet on the internet.
It is believed that the tablet will come with a 7.9-inch display with 1024X768p resolution and will run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It is likely to be powered by MediaTek's quad-core MT8125 processor, 1GB RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera for clarity in pictures and videos and a 0.3MP front camera for video conferencing.
Acer to unveil its first phablet at Computex

Taiwanese mobile device and computer manufacturer, Acer has indicated that it is planning to showcase its first phablet at the upcoming Computex Tech fair in Taiwan in June.
Acer will join the likes of Samsung, Huawei, HTC, Sony and some smaller players, who are already offering devices in the category. The company has not announced information about the hardware makeup of the device. S T Liew, Smartphone Business Group President at Acer had hinted that the company might release the new phablet Liquid S series at the technology event, which is set to be organised in Taipei in June.

India’s computer sales rise 15.7 percent in first quarter

The total Personal Computer sales have recorded an increase of 15.7 percent to 2.86 million units during the first quarter of eth financial year in the Indian market.
During the financial quarter from April to June 2012, the companies sold a total of 2.86 million units of personal computers in the country, which is 8.6 percent higher than the previous quarter, according to international research firm IDC.

Acer has showcased a host of devices powered by Windows 8, Microsoft's next operating system that is expected to launch in the coming months, at the ongoing Computex 2012 trade conference in Taipei on Monday.
The new Aspire S7 series will feature two touch screen models including a 13-inch as well as a 11.6-inch Ultrabook. The company said that both the models will feature aluminum unibody construction and full HD screens that fold back 180 degrees.

It has been reported that the chairman of Acer Inc., predicted his Taiwan-based company would become the world's leading supplier of notebook computers this year.
Revenues in the coming third quarter were expected to increase 10 percent to 15 percent over the second quarter despite rising wages in China and Europe's economic turmoil, J. T. Wang told stockholders in Taipei on Friday.
Acer is currently the No. 2 notebook vendor behind Hewlett-Packard Co. and posted first quarter revenues of 162.1 New Taiwan dollars ($5.2 billion).

Acer has unleashed the Aspire Timeline 1825PT, which is essentially a cross between a tablet and a netbook.
This supposed convention is being given due to the swivel screen. Swivelling the screen up converts it into open netbook, and folding the same makes it a tablet.
The 1825PT has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, with a 4GB of Ram, and an Intel GS45 Express graphics chipset that sports a resolution of 1366 x 768 HD display on 11.6 inch screen. Also a 250GB hard disk, a webcam, Wi-Fi, 3G and an HDMI port fills the rest of specs.

Acer plans to launch a key-board PC before Asus. The Taiwanese corp. has claimed to launch a key board PC before its Taiwanese contender Asus signaling a go-ahead to the competition.
Acer plans to utilize the same platform as that of Ultrawideband HD multimedia interface which was used in the Asus's EEE Keyboard that connects the monitor promising the same platform similar to a PC. Acer boasts of D-Sub and HDMI ports.
