BSNL ties up with Sai Infosystem to launch Internet data centre servicesTelecom giant, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has entered into a partnership with Sai Infosystem to launch its new Internet data centre services in Hyderabad.

The state run telecom giant is expecting revenue of Rs. 15 crore in the coming year from the partnership. The company is offering managed collocation, hosting and cloud services though its Internet data centre, which is located Telephone Exchange Building at Patancheru in Hyderabad.

The facility is built, rated and managed jointly by BSNL and Sai Infosystem, according to BSNL AP Circle chief general manager V Srinivasan and Sai Infosystem vice president for Data Centre and NGN, R K Iyer.

"BSNL IDCs offer a highly secure, scalable and simple to use environment for cloud computing needs of our clients and its commitment towards Small and Medium Enterprise customers in healthcare, education, banking, rural development and other e-governance initiatives will drive significant adoption of cloud computing," Srinivasan said.

He also said that an investment of Rs 40 crore was made into the IDC and it is expecting Rs 15 crore in revenues over the coming one year.
