BlackBerry Q10 sale remains low, report

BlackBerry Q10 sale remains low, reportAccording to a new report, the newest device released by Canadian smartphone maker, BlackBerry has not been able to attract a significant number of users in the market.

The Wall Street Journal has found that the sales figures have remained disappointing in the US and the Canadian market. The company has not announced the details of the sales for the new device, which was expected to be the saviour for the struggling company, which was once leading force in the smartphone market.

The Journal said in its report after interacting with individual retailers both in the U. S. and Canada that the sales remained very low and much of the sales resulted in a quick return of the device. The company has not discussed numbers but only said that its discussions with ADP, The Department of Defense, and Univision Communications and corporate orders could boost sales. The company has also said that 60 per cent of Fortune 500 companies are testing Q10 for potential use.

BlackBerry earlier this year announced the Q10 alongside the Z10. The company had launched the Z10 to appeal to the customers looking to buy touch screen devices and Q10 for its customers using QWERTY based devices. However, both the devices have not been able to attract a significant number of customers in the market.
