The DOC demand and prices have also cooled during past few days which also impacted the market sentiments. Arrivals in physical markets are gradually improving which may further put pressure on prices in near future. The Industry estimated 71.5 Lakh tons of RMseed production this year. The group flagged a severe deterioration in the UK owing to detrimental weather conditions resulting in the abandonment of at least 200,000 hectares of winter rapeseed area.

New Delhi, March 14 - The release of "Happi", the story of survival of a social misfit, has been delayed for two years, but this hasn't deterred the spirits of critically-acclaimed director Bhavna Talwar. She feels the content of the movie is so strong that the script will never be outdated.
"There have been various reasons for its delay. The movie was ready, but then we got stuck in post-production work and various other things," Talwar told IANS in an interview from Mumbai.

Warwickshire, July 30 : Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting has said there was no question of dropping left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Johnson from the team for the third Test against England, and added he and the selectors had never discussed such a possibility.
Australia looks set to hold its nerve and gamble the Ashes on Johnson finding the form that has deserted him on tour.
With the Edgbaston pitch drier than Ponting expected, spinner Nathan Hauritz will play in the test that begins from today, reports the Herald Sun.
OPEC crude price rises towards 60-dollar mark

Vienna - The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose further on Thursday, to 59.92 dollars, the oil cartel said Friday.
One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude cost 1.79 dollars more on Thursday than at the middle of the week, when it stood at 58.13 dollars.
OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 13 important brands produced by its members. (dpa)

New Delhi, Apr 13 : The Supreme Court on Monday postponed the hearing on the petition filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi challenging the Uttar Pradesh Government''s decision to slap the National Security Act (NSA) against him for his alleged hate speeches.
The Bench headed by Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan, who heard the matter, postponed the hearing till April 16.
On April 2, the Bench had sought an explanation from the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Pilibhit District Magistrate for slapping of the NSA against Varun.

The football ace will pen his autograph for the winning bidder of the shirt, presently under the hammer for Help for Heroes.
The 33-year-old backed the eBay collaborated Auction for Heroes to help build seven vital Army Convalescence Centres, saying: “They are the real heroes.”

Airtel launches one second pulse plan

New Delhi, Oct 30 : Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel Friday launched a per second billing plan.
As per the new plan, the customers will be charged one paisa per second for all local and national long-distance calls within Bharti's network and 1.20 paise per second for calls to other networks, the company said in a statement.
The move comes after other companies such as Tata Teleservices launched per second billing systems.
Merkel criticizes executive bonuses

Hamburg - German Chancellor Angela Merkel joined in Saturday in criticism of big bonuses being paid to the executives of banks which are receiving government aid during the financial crisis.
"It's incomprehensible that banks which the state is propping up are in many cases paying out enormous bonuses," she told the news weekly Der Spiegel, adding that the subject would be up for discussion at a summit of the G20 nations in London in April.
The G20 group comprises the world's largest economies.

Dhaka opposition complains to diplomats

Dhaka, Nov 2 : Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), the country's main opposition in parliament, has complained of "repression" of its leaders and cadres by the government while briefing foreign diplomats and donor agency representatives stationed here.
At a tea party it hosted Sunday as part of the preparations for the organisation's national council meeting scheduled for next month, its leaders justified boycott of parliament for the last nine months. They said no important issue was being discussed there.
