Auto giant Ashok Leyland has come up with a limited "anniversary" edition of it's the light commercial vehicle dubbed Dost.The limited edition has been introduced on the first anniversary of Dost, which was launched last year in association with Nissan Motor Co.
Introducing the anniversary edition, Ashok Leyland Vice-Chairman V Sumantran "We felt to introduce something special (to our customers) on this special occasion, and therefore, the first Anniversary edition. Today is the birthday of DOST."
Equipped with a range of new features, the new variant of the limited edition would be available right away in the company's all forty-five touch-points across India.
The anniversary edition of the light commercial vehicle will be available till the festival of Diwali, mid-November. The new variant, which features stylish body graphics, new color gray beige besides, fuel tank guards and bull bars, costs Rs. 15,000 higher than the existing model.
The production of Dost was started with 200 units per month last year, but seeing the demand the manufacturer increased the production to 2,800 a month.
Since the launch of DOST a year ago, the company has sold a total of 20,479 units of the commercial vehicle. With a share of 31 per cent in eight states where Dost was launched, Ashok Leyland and Nissan joint venture is the market leader in the segment.
